The mission of The Red Stocking Fund is to provide warm winter clothing and other necessities to children in need on Martha’s Vineyard at Christmas and the holiday season.
We are an entirely volunteer run, non-profit organization.
Ninety cents of every dollar donated is spent on food and clothing.
The remaining monies are spent on essential program expenses only. Toys/books are donated. We do not purchase toys/books from our budget unless a donor designates their contribution be used to purchase toys/books. The level of need on Martha’s Vineyard cannot be overstated.
Each year over 300 children are helped by the Red Stocking Fund.
If you or someone you know is in need, review eligibility and find out what is needed to apply. Please note that applications for 2023 will close as of November 8th.
The Red Stocking Fund is a completely volunteer run, non-profit organization.
We welcome individuals, groups and organizations to donate toys (some ideas: Legos, infant/baby toys, board books, baby dolls, kitchen play, backpacks, and something that makes your heart happy for tweens) Please NO electronics or toy weapons.
